The holidays are in full swing and with that comes plenty of festive treats. Haley here from If You Give a Blonde a Kitchen and today I’m sharing a recipe for mocha hot chocolate. This drink will keep you going straight through the holiday season!
I’m sure we can all agree that the holidays go by in a flash. Between the gift shopping, Christmas parties and all the baking, we need something to give us that extra burst of energy. That’s when we reach for coffee.
Now you could sip on an average cup of joe, or you can give it some holiday flair. It’s really easy to turn a cup of coffee into a mocha hot chocolate. Simply brew a cup of coffee, stir in some whole milk, cocoa and sugar, and there you have it!
Each sip of mocha hot chocolate is the perfect balance of freshly brewed coffee and sweet chocolate goodness. It’s a heartwarming drink that comes with an extra buzz if you know what I mean!
For this recipe I used the new Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 2-Way Coffee Maker. It brews a full pot of coffee, which is perfect for when family is in town. But when you’re on the go (think holiday shopping), the coffee maker also has a single serving side.
If you have the luxury of sitting down and enjoying your mocha hot chocolate, I suggest topping it with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa. It gives the drink an extra festive touch.
Whether you’re stuck inside during a snowstorm or running last-minute errands, mocha hot chocolate is the perfect beverage to get you through the holidays.
