Overnight Cranberry Apple Steel-Cut Oatmeal

It’s fall and before we know it, the holidays will be in full swing and guests will be knocking on your door. You’ll want an easy way to get a delicious breakfast on the table for your guests after a busy holiday dinner party, but you won’t want to spend a lot of time and you definitely won’t want to do a lot of dishes. This overnight oatmeal gets cooked in the slow cooker while you sleep, so you don’t have much to do in the morning besides scoop it out, serve and enjoy!

Overnight Cranberry Apple Steel-Cut Oatmeal

  1. 8 cups water
  2. 2 cups steel-cut oats
  3. 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
  4. 1 cup coarsely chopped apples
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  6. 1/4 cup maple syrup
  7. Topping suggestions: fresh fruit, chopped nuts, toasted coconut or brown sugar
  1. Place all ingredients in slow cooker and stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours or overnight.
  3. Stir and serve with milk and toppings as desired.
