Non-Dairy Peach Frozen Dessert
SERVES: 8

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
3 pounds peaches, pitted and halved
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Add coconut milk, peaches, sugar and vanilla extract to blender jar. Cover and blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's directions.
Pour into freezer containers and store in freezer.
Notes
Let container of frozen treat stand at room temperature before scooping.

This rich and creamy ice cream is reminiscent of custard and tastes like a decadent strawberry cheesecake. Despite its sinfully delicious disguise, this ice cream is easy to pull together and looks beautiful presented on a cone or in a bowl. You could even spoon it into a graham cracker crust and freeze it to make an ice cream pie for a unique birthday cake or party dessert.

Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
SERVES: 6

Ingredients
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can (17 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup frozen strawberries, slightly thawed, chopped
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and vanilla until fluffy.
Gradually add sweetened condensed milk and heavy cream until smooth.
Stir in strawberries.
Start ice cream maker and pour mixture through hole in lid.
Churn for 20-30 minutes or until desired consistency.
Stir in graham cracker crumbs. Serve immediately as soft serve or store in freezer.
Notes
For a 4-quart ice cream maker, double the ingredients and follow the recipe directions for twice as much delicious ice cream.

I love making watermelon sorbet because it celebrates seasonal ingredients in an unexpected way. Most people have tried berry or mango versions, so using watermelon gives sorbet an updated twist. In the recipe below, we added mint and lime to the watermelon to give it a vibrant and refreshing punch. We also tried substituting other herbs (like rosemary, thyme and basil) and other citrus juices (like lemon and orange) to create interesting layers of flavor. Everyone had a different favorite, but the rosemary-mint-lemon combination was very popular.

Watermelon Lime Mint Sorbet
SERVES: 6

Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
6 mint leaves
4 cups seedless watermelon, cut in chunks
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
Instructions
Bring water, sugar and mint leaves to a boil over high heat in a medium saucepan to make a simple syrup. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Remove mint leaves and discard. Refrigerate until cold.
Place simple syrup, watermelon pieces and lime juice in blender jar.
Blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into ice cream maker and churn until frozen. For a firmer sorbet, spoon into a container and place in freezer until firm.
Notes
You can vary the fresh herbs used with the watermelon. Our testers loved a combination of mint and rosemary.

Happy National Hot Fudge Sundae Day! We don’t know who invented this particular food holiday, but we’d like to give them a big high five. We love celebrations of any kind, but we get excited when our favorite food holidays roll around. It’s a great excuse to eat things like this twist on the classic hot fudge sundae. We grill the pound cake for caramelized flavor and then top it with all the classic sundae ingredients. Try it for dessert the next time you grill or go ahead and make them tonight. After all, it’s a holiday.

Grilled Pound Cake Sundaes
SERVES: 4

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 (3/4-inch thick) slices pound cake
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
Instructions
Stir butter and cinnamon in a small bowl; brush both sides of pound cake slices evenly with mixture.
Preheat grill to MEDIUM-HIGH heat.
Grill pound cake slices 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
Top each pound cake slice with ice cream and hot fudge sauce before serving.
